AUDUBON, PA, July 28, 2015 —Walker Audio announces the introduction of the Procession Turntable, the world’s first turntable with wireless remote control VTA/SRA (Vertical Tracking Angle/Stylus Rake Angle) adjustment that allows the user to change the arm angle from the comfort of their listening position with a push of a button.
The Procession turntable features:
- a 12-inch, low-friction, tri-bearing pivoting arm,
- 30-pound balanced-checked platter,
- four-inch aircraft-grade aluminum plinth,
- solid brass spindle with zirconia bearing and
- rock-steady motor with push button speed change.
It is fully adjustable for all critical parameters including overhang, azimuth, tracking force and VTA/SRA.
“This turntable exceeds our expectation for what’s possible with a pivoting arm turntable,” says Lloyd Walker, founder and President of Walker Audio. “For most of the past twenty years, we have received requests to make a lesser expensive, non-air bearing turntable. But, we were never satisfied with another turntable…until now!”
Walker Audio manufactures the highly-acclaimed all-air-bearing Proscenium Black Diamond V turntable. “At about one-third the cost of our air-bearing turntable, the Procession sounds amazing and offers features that make it super-easy to use and a joy to play,” says Walker.
The Procession turntable utilizes Walker’s Black Diamond technology to control electro-magnetic and radio frequency interference, comes with the Walker Crystal Record Clamp and can accommodate up to three arms.
Perfect Match with Procession Phono Amp
According to Walker, the Procession Phono Amp, introduced last year and now available in a Reference version, is the perfect match to the Procession turntable. He recommends the ultimate setup in which the phono amp is connected directly to the turntable, eliminating the need for a phono interconnect cable.
The Procession phono amp with dual mono continuously-adjustable cartridge loading allows users to precisely select the perfect loading for each channel instead of choosing between limited pre-determined settings.
The Procession Turntable (120v version) lists for $38,000 USD with manual VTA and $45,000 USD with remote VTA. 230v version available later this year.
The Procession Reference Phono Amp lists for $12,500 USD. Available for 120v or 230v.
