Master Crown is Siltech’s newest and highest performing series to date, encompassing more than 40 years of cable technology
31 May, 2024; Englewood, CO - Monarch Systems Ltd., a distributor of high-performance consumer audio products, is excited to announce the release and production of Siltech’s new Master Crown cable line.
Master Crown is the culmination of more than 40 years of audio cable research and engineering. Featuring a new gold-injected Mono-Crystal Silver conductor alloy developed in-house to reduce drawn conductor microfractures and improve pliability without reducing conductivity or fidelity, Master Crown takes advantage of new test and engineering equipment and analysis software written internally by the Siltech engineering staff.
Master Crown’s solid S10 Mono-Crystal Silver interconnect conductors are bundled utilizing Siltech’s new Balanced Ground Principle, for both XLR and RCA cables, to lower the cable’s noise floor to levels previously unmeasurable, while the speaker cable noise floor has been lowered to a threshold below 8 femtowatts (0.000000000000008 watt). The resulting cables are easily and by far the quietest audio cables in the world. Radiated and contained MFD (Magnetic Field Distortion) and CSD (Current Shielding Distortion) effects related to the composition of conducting materials and insulators have also been further reduced, while near perfect zero crossing distortion and group-delay have been achieved to greatly improve the audible recognition of voices and instruments. As Siltech’s previous apex cable, Triple Crown, uses as many as six conductors bundled in a hex pattern, Master Crown uses as many as eighteen conductors in a complex winding pattern to minimize distortions that were previously unmeasurable. At the very end of the signal chain, all Master Crown cables feature connector pins of S10 Mono-Crystal Silver that are plasma plated with gold to further reduce distortion.
In the power domain, magnetic field leakage can cause distortion in specific frequency ranges, inducing small distortions that are unrelated to music but affect all adjacent connected electronics and other cables (primarily interconnects). These distorted currents cause saturation in many power cables resulting in audibly colored sound at the peak of these currents. During development of the Master Crown Power cables, Siltech’s research group used advanced software such as COMSOL Multiphysics and new advanced, ultra-sensitive measuring equipment to track and minimize the effects of these peak current distortions.
To celebrate the release and pending production of Master Crown, Monarch Systems Ltd. has arranged a dedicated education and listening event at Monarch’s Casita in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Members of the audio press and media will be invited to listen to the Master Crown cables in a dedicated upscale system on June 21st, 2024, with members of the Siltech staff present to answer any technical questions and provide substantive background on Master Crown’s near ten-year research and development process.
